Melbourne's Love of Diagrams return to Sydney for a Saturday for a night of noise. Why should you care? Because their mash of no wave and post punk creates a sound that recalls Sonic Youth's early years or Joan Jett's scratch lyrics. They're bringing good friends St Helens up for their first Sydney show too.

Cartoonist James Kochalka has written/drawn at least three of my favourite comics ever (his best work is probably his SKETCHBOOK DIARIES, where he draws one comic about his life every day). The combination of his awesomely simple cartoon style and over-the-top dialogue makes me re-read his comics over and over again.
Like most art school dropouts with little money, I used to regularly eat at a Chinese noodle joint and ignore the stylish, modern Japanese noodle bar next door. What a fool I, like so many art school dropouts before me, had been!
Menya have three kinds of noodle soup on offer - ramen, udon and soba.
Are you a fan of all the new-exciting-party-musics: Crunk, Hyphy, Baltimore Club, Baile Funk etc etc and have no idea where to go to buy them? Jimmy Sing's is the answer!!
Located two doors up from Fatimas on Cleveland St (aka best kebabs in Sydney), Jimmy Sing spends every minute of his life finding the newest sounds and stocking them before anyone else in Sydney has even heard of them.
From the crazy, nonsensical cartoonists at the Adult Swim network in The States, TOM GOES TO THE MAYOR is one of the weirdest yet. So weird, that it divided Adult Swim viewers more than any cartoon in the networks' history. People either loved it or absolutely despised it. Me? I loved it, so was thrilled when they released all 31 episodes on this handy three disc DVD set.
Catcall is a new alias for Catherine Kelleher. You may have seen her over the last few years screaming her lungs out with bratty punk band Kiosk but the music she makes as Catcall is completely different - I'd describe it as lo-fi R&B.
I got a copy of her CD demo a few months ago, it sounded like a cross between The Blow and Cassie, which is amazing, so I booked her a show, which I loved, so I asked Cat if I could be her DJ.
