PHIBS is a vandal... but a good one. His works of graffiti 'art' make the streets fun and interesting to look at, and that should put a tick in everyone's box. I'd rather see a crazy, bright, maze-like, tribalesque graff piece, than another ad telling me to worry about my superannuation (urgh!). He also does other cool stuff, like that piece on the side of the Max Brenner in Paddington, and a massive Mickey Mouse comic on the side of some building.

POSSIBLE CURRIES promises to free you from art's continual disappointment. Hosted by Bababa International, a self-described group of 'highly trained, multi-task professionals' dedicated to 'labouring for society's needs and interests', this exhibition promises to be nothing usual. With previous exhibitions including fake show invites, hijacking bathroom cubicles and having artists literally eat their own work.

This is not your standard Sydney city art exhibition. You know the ones, with the copy-cat photography, faux-bohemian artists, and free beer. No, no. This exhibition by Roma Publications assembles over 100 different artists' books, postcards, audio/visual projections, etc. The installation breaks the barriers that usually exist between artist and admirer, by letting viewers engage with the objects first-hand.

MIDNIGHT MORNING is a collaborative illustrative book from three of Sydney's finest - Matt Huynh, Haline Ly and Will Loeng. It is hard to convey how unique the style of each artist is, without unifying them under a single banner. Matt's illustrations depict mundane and surreal situations, while commenting on something deeper.

This latest offering from China Heights showcases three Sydney artists, Gorin Tomic, Robyn Wilson and Sascha Raeburn, who have been billed as "emerging creative visionaries". The result is like something from a Kindergarten art class for the exceptionally gifted. Take that as you will, but I'd marvel more at the crazy-good illustrations of a kindergarten student than the scrap-heap sculpture of some beatnik uni arts student.

How patronising is the Pope? Bouncing around in his Popemobile, waving and smiling and pandering to everyone behind three inches of bullet-proof plexiglass. Now that's faith in action! I must say though, Ratzinger certainly does rock the holy garb in style. With his flowing white wizard robe and blinged-out, over-sized cross; he looks more like the Holy Flavor Flav than the Holy Father.
