Toast Cafe

13th Sep 06
Venue: Café
Meal: All day

It's surprising what one can find in the bowels of Surry Hills. Within this maze of intestinal narrow back lanes and congested industrial warehouses, cafes are popping up like free radicals. In an effort to contribute to the detoxification of Mary Street, Toast Café is a little recess of roughage.

Dragon Den

23rd Aug 06
Venue: Eatery
Meal: All day

In Victoria Street terms, Dragon Den has done its time on the main drag and proven itself worthy of community scrutiny. Decked out in Vietnamese décor decadence (water feature and all), it's a dining experience with a spectrum of flavours.

Ostensibly Vietnamese, the menu is also made up of Japanese and Chinese inspired dishes.

Melt

Venue: Restaurant
Meal: Dinner

You wont hear TwoThousand admit it often, but there is something to be said for restraint. We rarely play our cards close to our chest, but when other's do we're always a bit impressed.

Which is why we love Melt: rather than bombarding mailboxes with hideous flyers or flooding the streets with hordes of glumorous [sic.

Sea Bay

15th Mar 06
Venue: Eatery
Meal: Dinner

Located at the seedy end of Pitt St right across the road from the entry to the World Square car park, Sea Bay is the perfect eatery to line your pre-starved washboard stomach before heading off to a night of drunken stupor at the nearby Mandarin Club followed by unrestrained exhibitionism at the expense of innocent passers-by.
