Reptiles are creepy. The fact that Taronga zoo has a whole building dedicated to them gives me the willies. It's gross. Luckily The Reptiles are a band of homo sapiens that according to their press release play ‘knee-to-the-balls guitar-driven punk rock'. That's a serious hyphen filled sentence.

When Secret Machines' Benjamin Curtis decides to leave his highly successful group and make new, interesting, and wholly better music, it becomes newsworthy. Teaming up with the Deheza twins formerly of On! Air! Library!, this ramshackle team of band deserters named after a secret Andean pickpocket academy have created a stunning debut.
Digitalism are two German record store employees who decided to hunker down in a WWII bunker in Hamburg and make a giant indie electronic crossover album instead of just running the till. I missed Jence a few times but got his bangin' techno voicemail where I left messages like a jilted love. I decided that wasn't enough to write about so I tried again and actually conducted a proper interview.
When you think world music I'm sure some wanky Vampire Weekend or Santogold record comes to mind. We know how you work. That's why we are here to keep your record collection relevant and ready to impress at dinner parties. Welcome to Buraka Som Sistema. Two Portuguese DJs and one Angolan MC, with guest appearances by lady party rocker herself, M.
Mike Relm is as badass as they come. He has won turtablism championships, plays live with completely original video DJ'ing mash-ups, and is just releasing his first album that features Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Mr. Lif, and Lateef the Truth Speaker. He is coming to Australia with Good Vibrations festival and we think he is the underdog of the lineup, but the one who will blow you away the most.
These San Diegans (that just doesn't sound right) have something to their sound that makes it instantly recognisable. Maybe the harmonica, maybe the effects on the vocals and guitar, maybe the country rock folk feel to it... or maybe it's just the equation that bands have been using forever to make themselves familiar; and the Delta Spirit stumbled onto the secret recipe.
