God Help The Girl
Belle and Sebastian is the band that never stopped putting out amazing records. We all love them, and we all therefore predict love for Stuart Murdoch's new offering, God Help The Girl. This film and music project was imagined years ago, but only recently conceived.
We have been graced with a new album comprised of new songs and even some re-recorded classics, but here's the kicker - the album is a loose narrative and the girls all look as good as the ones on previous B&S covers.
Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / Sanaa
The SANAA architects are Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. Their very distinct aesthetic always creates a relationship between inside and outside and embraces the qualities of light, transparency and openness. Their ethereal design of New York's New Museum of Contemporary Art transformed the Bowery, a street with as much history as the city itself.

Well my Friday nights are officially planned for the next seven weeks. The event is automatically appealing, just from its name.
Once you have a look at what the Chauvel has lined up, I'm sure you will be joining us for each of the double features, keeping your eyes glued to the screen into the early hours of Saturday morning.

When you visit the Rose Seidler House, you feel like you've travelled through a wormhole. It has been restored to its original 1950s glory, modernist furniture and all.
PARIS, LA #2
PARIS, LA is a magazine started by long time Purple contributor Dorothee Perret with a vision to cross oceans by daydreaming about the other side. It's about making the world smaller than it already is, taking pieces of culture from all over and putting them into one publication. It's like a blind person feeling your face to see what you look like - they get to know you even though they can't see you.

It's the best smelling, best tasting thing to do on a Saturday morning. Made to order by some very devoted, authentic Turkish women. The ingredients are fresh of course! Cooked as you wait, while you enjoy the sights and sounds of El Alamein fountain.
Don't bother lining up for the bacon & egg rolls next door when you can get an amazing spinach and cheese gozleme.
