We know - we're cafe sluts. We go on and on about the newest, the latest and the greatest. But do you realize how addictive caffeine is? Jesus, if heroin was legal you can bet there'd be a shooting gallery on every corner and massive public discourse as to who's got the best stash in town.
On a random street in a non-descript suburb, every weekday morning business people, construction workos, hipsters, mums and assorted fruitcakes stream out the door single file for the best fix in town. Allpress roast their own beans onsite, and you can watch them cut, cook, and prep your gear through massive glass walls out the back. They supply to several other eateries around town, but for the best hit, cut out the middle man and get yo shit straight from the source.
Owned by the folks who run The Boathouse in Glebe, Allpress also offer tasty cafe fare; sandwiches, cereal, assorted pastries, and fantastic fresh baked bread (try their carmelised garlic loaf - only available Friday and Saturday). Recently renovated, the interior has a quasi-religious feel with a foreboding glass turret displaying roasters for sale and giant light orbs illuminating the ceiling. It's like a spaceship has landed in Rosbery. Beware the queues 8-10 weekdays, and beware the weekend brekkie pram crowd. But trust us dude. It's worth it.
