TwoThousand was recently out at 4:30am (going for an early morning jog and a wheat-grass shot, of course) and was shocked to notice that there was a queue to get into the Courthouse Hotel/Judgment Bar. As distressing as this vision was, TwoThousand pulled itself together and has decided to throw a life buoy to the alcoholic community (as it has done once before) by reminding it of the national treasure that is, Barons.

Open until very, very late, and with twice the ambiance of the Judgment Bar, Barons manages toattract its share of those not afraid to drink into the dawn. Like the Judgment Bar and it's fellow emo staple, the Gaslight, Barons is a casual, low key affair with a jukebox in the corner. But unlike it's competitors, at Barons you wont have to battle indie kids with indie kids with spray on jeans for seats. If you visit early in the evening you can get backgammon sets from the bar. Plus there's an alcohol inspired Sistine Chapel mural painted on the ceiling, and an open fireplace in winter.

While you're there, be sure to order TwoThousand's latest favourite Valentine's Day pink drink, the Shandine. All you do is add grenadine to a shandy! Undeniably klassy and strangely alluring late at night, much like Barons.
