There are only two types of people in this world: people who like tapas and idiots. So we went to Bodega - one of a handful of exemplary tapas joints in Surry Hills that keep Sydney's inner city sophisticates well fed and indulged. If words could do any justice to good food we would write about it in exquisite detail. But the reality is we can't come close to describing an amazing empanada... in fact we can only just spell it. What this means for you in real terms is that you need to live the dream and visit Bodega yourself. The brave can try ox tongue and the sissies can stick to tortilla.
While words fail us in describing food, let us attempt to make vivid some other aspects of Bodega. The décor is well considered and if you can get a side bench/cushion you should... by your last mouthful you will need to slump. The wine list has a continental feel and the staff have the smarts to match the right food to your bottle. And damn it the wait staff are also so very nice we could die.
