At first I thought the reason I liked this cafe so much was because I lived across the road...and everything tastes good when you're hungover.

But when they closed over Christmas and I was forced to try other places I realised that my attachment to Martini was more than just convenience.

Martini is undoubtedly the cool kid of King Street cafés, intelligently boasting the best airfreight collection of ‘zines I've seen outside of Kinokuniya.

Seating's available inside, in the courtyard, or upstairs in the kids corner - proving that you don't have to sit on an uncomfortable milk crate just to get a good coffee in Sydney.

Service with a smile and a side of sarcasm comes complimentry of one ex-boxing-muscle-man owner and one rockabilly-king-of coffee. Martini's cool crew is totally dedicated to good service, good food and a few good laughs, all at your expense.
