You wont hear TwoThousand admit it often, but there is something to be said for restraint. We rarely play our cards close to our chest, but when other's do we're always a bit impressed.

Which is why we love Melt: rather than bombarding mailboxes with hideous flyers or flooding the streets with hordes of glumorous [sic.] promotions "models", Melt has built a name for itself organically, preferring instead to rely on word of mouth as opposed to empty marketing promises. And slowly but surely it's working.

The ever growing crowd are relatively mature but fairly casual, and the décor is simple but stylish (much like Surry Hills' Labour Club once was). Drinks are already very reasonably priced, but on Thursdays and Sundays there are all kinds of specials. And the booty based music which includes hip hop, funk, disco and soul will give your ears a well earned break from the unforgiving tones of The Zit Remedy.

Plus there's a generous art space that has featured works by Paul Cattanach amongst others. Get down!
