The Italians have it down. They zip about on scooters and can always get a park. They wear tight pants. They eat pasta from a mumma and drink not in pubs, but wine libraries. Mille Vini won't find you a parking spot but it will bring a thousand wines to Crown Street.

From the same stable as Pizza e Birra, the local Enoteca contains a bible-thick booklet of wines, served beneath the eaves of a converted shop-front. The brick is exposed, the tables are dark wood and the light is dim. It's rustico but charming. Vino comes courtesy of the Italian heartland, mixed with a strong selection of locals. In Italy, wine is never served without food. Zucchini flowers, buffalo mozarella, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and scampi provide fine accompaniment. The only thing Mille Vini doesn't do is groups, keep your numbers low and be prepared to wait for a table, it's worth it.
