While the phrase "Famous in Vietnam" might ring alarm bells in TwoThousand's music review section, the signage on the door of "Pasteur" means you're in safe hands. Humbly declaring itself to be the "Best Noodle Soup in Town", Pasteur's signature dish is the sweet but salty Vietnamese soup, Pho.

The menu, featuring misspellings so bizarre ("Panny Wort Tea") you'll be convinced they're deliberate, offers more types of Pho than you could poke a chopstick at, as well as other Vietnamese standards like prawn rice paper rolls. TwoThousand's personal recommendation is the "Special Beef Noodle Soup" ($8.90) which comes in a huge bowl along with a plate of bean sprouts, mint, lemon, and basil to mix through (although those less adventurous when it comes to tripe might want to stick to the plain "Beef Noodle Soup").

And globetrotters feeling particularly broad-minded might like to take their chances on the "Penny Wort Tea" or the mysterious "Egg and Milk Soda" ($3.50 each).
