There is no drink more inexplicable than pearl tea. Malnutritious tapioca balls floating in Starburst flavoured liquid. Mysteriously vacuum sealed plastic cups and enormous straws. Bizarre multicoloured shops filled with unintelligible foreign language teen magazines.

TwoThousand's favourite part? All of the above. And may we add that Y2K is our number one choice when we need double, or even triple happiness. The Black Sesame Milk Pearl Tea ($4) is a great source of Vitamin B ("B" for "ball"). We are also excited about the rise of Taro, the purple root last seen in your bowl of tempura, and believe that the Taro Milk Pearl Tea with Strips of Lychee Jelly (also $4) is mankind's greatest achievement.

Other delicious treats include the Pineapple Crush, Mango Jelly, and Mango Pancakes, all of which are sealed with the gentle promise of late onset diabetes. Plus the shady Dixon Street location is a great place to cool down in the hot hot heat.
