Scrumptious is the only word for it. Red Lantern is damn fine authentic Vietnamese cuisine and you wont bust your purse strings trying the delectable morsels either. The cosy little restaurant is fittingly painted blood red and is rather inviting, though you do get the feeling they try to squeeze as many tables in as possible.
As a group of seven, we feasted on just two entrees and four mains, three good bottles of simple wine, and all for under fifty each. The favorite had to be the Vit Quay Xao Cai Xanh (Roast duck with wok seared mustard greens and plum sauce for the rest of you) it was crunchy on the outside, sweet to the palate and tender to finish. The boys seemed to fancy the goat curry but with such an accessible and beautiful menu, you would be silly not to try it all!
