There's nothing like being crammed into a small space to make you feel like a big fish. And Sushi Suma certainly offers this to all who enter. In fact they offer you big fish cut into small pieces but that's not really what we're getting at.
In TwoThousand's humble opinion, Sushi Suma is hands down the most satisfying Japanese restaurant experience in Sydney. There, we said it. With fifteen pieces of fresh, plump sashimi for only $10.80 and agadashi that is legendary, we challenge anyone to find a plausible opponent. Go on. Just you try.
Following a re-location (to next door) and a refurbishment, one would be forgiven for expecting an adjustment to the atmosphere. While the new decor slightly alters the acoustics, don't fear. You'll still be forced to rub yourself up against random strangers on the way to the bathroom. And you'll still have to wait for forty minutes (even if you book) between the hours of 6:30 and 8:00 pm on a Friday or Saturday night. Although it must be said that even with these slight impediments, it's just so worth it.
