Coming up with an exciting new gadget was relatively easy in the 1800s, when the introduction of a can opener was considered front-page news. But things have become a wee bit harder in the 21st Century thanks to show ponies like Alexander Bell and Thomas Edison, who have left us scraping the bottom of the invention barrel.
Well, British object architect Dominic Skinner has thumbed his nose at the great granddaddies of design by coming up with a concept so awesome, it'd be sure to send their monocles smashing to the floor - the Dunk Mug.
Mind-boggling in its simplicity, the dual-purpose drinking apparatus is a little caramel slice of heaven for the afternoon tea crew. Providing a space to hide your tasty treats, it sticks it to your more judgemental co-workers by enabling you to satisfy your ginger snap or Iced Vo Vo addiction on the down-low. Take that, Jane in accounting! It's even available in right and left-handed versions. So handy, so clever, so delicious!
The Dunk Mug - taking the trouble out of teatime.
