For an accessories label, Paris House has one hellava mission statement:

‘The truth isn't the truth until people believe in you, and they can't believe in you if they don't know what you're saying, and they can't know what you're saying if they don't listen to you and they won't listen to you if you're not interesting.'

Geeze, Accessorize can't even spell.

Emblazoned with ‘I'm sick of being an artist, I want to be a pop star' and ‘Punk Killed Disco' Paris House leaves the average money clip for dust.

Creator Sharon Paris knows what she's on about. Her grandfather, Cohus, started the family label in 1934 as a jewellery business. He was then succeeded by her father, a watchmaker, who continued the business until 2002.

Paris took the reigns not long after, moving the family name into leather. Her latest collection ‘Johnny Rotten' might have a loud mouth, but the sense of pride and respect for the past in every piece makes the label more than leather. And that's the truth.
