We'll be honest. When you look at these watches it's hard to believe they are actually made for the blind. It's like Inspector Gadget and the design team for Casio keyboards collaborated on this puppy. Was that mini-speaker built to amplify the synthy stabs of a Casio demo mode?
No sir, not this one. Instead, in a surprising nod to functionality, the fully operational speaker sounds a pleasant female voice. "Son las ocho y media". She tells the time and it's 8.30. Did we mention that she speaks Spanish?
There's also a crowing rooster alarm on hand, just to obliterate any late-running siestas.
"So many features," I hear you say, "man, those blind Latinos have got it good!"
Well, yes. But before you rush out to buy a Spanish dictionary and pick your eyes out with a fork: don't. The Spanish speaking watch is readily available to full-visioned gringos too. We love a world without discrimination!
