Quiet achiever Matthew J. Tow may not be a household name, but this Sydney-sider's been melting tuned-in heads here and abroad for years.

Tow fronted 60s pop-tinged indie rockers Drop City throughout the 90s, playing damn catchy Ray Davies-meets-Oasis fare until disbanding in 2000. Since 2002, Tow's Lovetones have carried on this mutton-chopped tradition, though there sound is less scruffy, more sharp-suited.

DIMENSIONS is perfect Sunday morning music; deftly written and well-orchestrated 60s pop, with lots of twelve-string chime, soaring melodies, and spaced-out segues. Think Air mixed with contemporaries like Plush, Belles Will Ring, or Brian Jonestown Massacre (with whom Tow has written songs and toured).

Elegant and understated, DIMENSIONS is perfect for sipping long island laced iced tea by the pool all summer long.
