Okay, okay. This record may not be brand new but it still has its shine. In February, when this 12” was released, TwoThousand unfortunately had its fingers in too many pies to keep one on the pulse. But with rave being the flavour of the day we thought we would give it some love because god, and the devil, know it’s worth it.
One half of The Presets, drummer/producer/programmer Kim Moyes has created two tracks, ‘Wet’N’Wild’ and ‘System Breakdown’, which received props from UK stores Rough Trade, Phonica and Picadilly and have been championed by the likes of DJs Justice and Erol Alkan. Stripped back to reveal the core components of good dance music Kim proves that less is more and shows that it is possible for minimalism to maximise your party experience. Sleep when you’re dead – or passed out.
