Breaking up is hard to do, especially when you keep seeing eachother. The same must apply to the Test Icicles who continue to tour despite having recently “broken up”. Needless to say, this type of self-destructive behaviour seems only natural for the screamo crazies who took 2005.

Young, thin, and musically competent, The Test Icicles helped tow art-rock to the dancefloor, partially paving the way for the Arctic Monkeys (and the 4000 sound-a-likes we’re about to be inundated with).

Now, to pilfer the brand for every last drop of precious young blood, we will soon get the DIG YOUR OWN GRAVE E.P., featuring remixes, demos, unreleased tracks, and DVD video bits to remind us of what could’ve been.

Tracks such as 'Pull the Lever' (Raaary’s Ripmix) and 'All You Need is Blood' are typically obtuse and energetic, while the Jitset Remix of 'Pull the Lever' is strangely Craig David-esque. But what else can you really expect from album of oddities and rarities from a band whose previous releases already sound odd and rare.
