Yep, Twothousand is giving column space to the purveyors of male eye make up and metro pop; the band that ditched their own exclamation point (formerly Panic! At the Disco) - so put down your gourmet sandwich and close those lips with organic chapstick on them... After selling their previous Sydney show in a mere 12 seconds, the Las Vegas crew is returning this week with a bag of songs from their new album and a view ‘to be the new Radiohead'.

Beach House was formed in 2006 by Baltimore-based Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally. They are the musical equivalent of a punch-fuelled prom... with a slice of CARRIE. Theirs is a melody of sequins, cake and a sheen of taffeta - underpinned by something more sinister. If you like what Air did for THE VIRGIN SUICIDES, then you'll understand Beach House.

Stereo Total is not another pop band. It's a "home-made-trash-garage-sound crossed with underground, authentic as well as amateurish, ironic as well as effective, pop as well as...political." Wow. They also sing in different languages. The Berlin-based male/female German/French duo have returned to blur the boundaries of electro, rockabilly and pop and generally confuse the hell out of us with a multilingual extravaganza likely to make your feet move and your brain hurt.
