The prolific director thinks we shoot a car chase with wicked style, in a way that (quote/unquote) "just makes you want to jerk off". The film buffs at Popcorn Taxi concur and are screening NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD, a documentary celebrating pioneering genre films of the '70s and '80s such as MAD MAX and PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK.

The Popfrenzy artist nights provide an overview of the label's latest talent. Over two evenings and two locations you get Songs (who are finishing off a 7" with Love of Diagrams), Adelaidians Clue to Kato and Leader Cheetah.

Listen here. Bondi Beach now has a place where all pale, hatted and sun-fearing urban folk can relax without fear of fake tan or sunstroke. The spot is Our Mishmash, a ‘70s-coffee-shop-come-boutique that bakes muffins, brews Morgan's and keeps WON and ANDROGYNY on the tables. This Thursday night, Mishmash opens its first art exhibition courtesy of Aline Joyce's painted hand and music from Aidan Roberts of the Maple Trail.
