There is a mythical creature in the land of baked goods. It's the not-hard-to-follow, not-time-consuming, and delicious cake. Thanks to Vexta, it seems to have been found, and get this - you don't even need an oven. ‘Baking without an oven?' you say. ‘Shut up.' No, totally. It's a single serve chocolate cake that's ready in five minutes.
Word has it that Christopher's is Australia's oldest Greek cake shop. If taste is a method of verifying truth then it must be true. Since 1955 they've been plying Ergolavous, Amigthalota, Koulourakia and all sorts of traditional Greek cakes, pastries and biscuits to unsuspecting customers who would have no chance of knowing that taking that single bite would result in so many maroon boxes being piled up in their homes and offices.
Ignore the cold hearted hag serving behind the counter; the delicacies in this lovely cake shop are worth the trauma. The trauma of satisfying your sweet tooth while packing on the pounds. The choices are abundant: six different flavours of cheesecake, Greek pastries and shortbreads, meringues, petit foures so candy coloured they'd put Marie Antoinette's baker to shame.
