Why are the French so damn good at everything? We don't know. It was meant to be rhetorical. Ah rhetoric. Yet another thing they've got down. You just know that if they can turn something once taught by a bunch of reserved old Greek dudes back in 5th century BC into a finely honed art of seductive conversing, then their music is guaranteed gratification.

Fasciination
After what seemed an eternity between Wet From Birth and the release of FASCIINATION, I was anticipating an incredible, mind-blowing record which pushed theboundary of the whole dance-punk sound as their past three LPs had (disregard Media, please). But instead I'm left with a slight sense of disappointment throughout.

Did you catch !!! (Chk Chk Chk) last time they rushed through the country? No? Well, the singer dude had on an Indian headdress and tennis shorts, and motioned, thrusted, and commanded his way through the set while his 7-strong funk machine grinded away behind him. Needless to say, it warranted the three exclamation marks entirely.
