With recent big ups from indie demi-gods Sigur Ros, and a hefty UK and European tour under their belts, this three-deep instrumental outfit returns to promote their new single and album title track ‘O Soundtrack My Heart'. Actors-as-musicians generally range from the forgettable mediocre (Keanu Reeves' Dogstar) to the outright atrocious (Paris Hilton's 'Stars are blind') and the utterly laughable (William Shatner...).
Anyone who's heard South American TV star Juana Molina's music can attest; this ain't some vanity project.

Lindstrøm starts off 2008 right with an album that, if you didn't know what it contained, you might very skeptical about parting with your money for. Here's the official word though: Do it, you sissy.

Besides Docs, floral prints and ill fitting jeans, Goldfrapp are probably the best thing to come outta the '90s. It's not hard to imagine why they have such a huge fan base, because besides Alison's dreamy voice, Will's classical training makes this electronica act very unique. With the Opera House hosting the gig, it's set to be a surreal experience.

Squarepusher, Just A Souvenir
Conceived as a dream concert performed by five ultra-talented, trans-dimensional musicians, this new issue from veteran UK sound-setter, Squarepusher, is full-on epiphanic, funky fresh shit. Resurrecting the direction of his classic 1998 album, MUSIC IS ROTTED ONE NOTE, JUST A SOUVENIR sees Tom Jenkinson back in live-playing territory - transcending notions of him as a bygone drill'n'bass artist via prodigious performances more aligned with Lightning Bolt or Aprodite's Child than the 'braindance' sound of old scene compadre, Aphex Twin.
