Get ready for a whole lot of make up, big hair and colour. For one night only, the Chinese Opera is in town. The troupe includes five winners of the Meihua prize. We've never heard of that either, but it's on the same level as the Oscars apparently. They'll be performing extremely famous stanzas from ROMANCE OF THE GODDESS, THE EMPEROR'S NEPHEW and THE LEGEND OF THE WHITE SNAKE.

Eels
Much like their underwater namesakes the Eels band can be slippery little suckers when it comes down to explaining exactly who they are. Essentially, the Eels consist of one very talented guy - Mark Oliver Everett, plus a revolving door of musicians that tour and play his songs. Live shows vary between a stripped back, intimate two-piece act, and full orchestral arrangement.

When Uncle Tupelo split up, Jeff Tweedy began chasing musical dreams that included everything from orchestral pop to avant-rock. He formed a band called Wilco, and by their second album these dreams had been fulfilled - and then some. Tweedy was twice recruited by Billy Bragg to write new music for lyrics that were left behind by folk legend Woody Guthrie.
