As if The Corner Shop was not already beautiful enough. On Thursday night Romance Was Born is curating a special installation to launch their latest collection. It's all rather fitting, since the label has been all about merging art with what we wear since the beginning. Remember when they collaborated with Del Kathryn Barton? Amazing.

This has happened to Lee and Me. Half cafe, half boutique, Lee, Ben (the 'Me') and their beautiful lady friends have birthed a superior child.
The Kingpins Window Project
We don't usually blow our own trumpet, but the excitement is building for the next Incu Window Project, so here comes the big up...
The Kingpins all-girl collective blend drag, costume and gender mish mash to create wild live performances and installations. Spanning a decade, their dazzling career includes projects at major institutions such as the Musée D'art Moderne, Paris, MCA and the Liverpool Biennale, so we're rather chuffed to have the opportunity to collaborate.
Dion Lee Spring/Summer Showcase
If you thought molecular science and edgy fashion had nothing in common, pull on that lab coat and get back to school. The new collection from East Sydney TAFE graduate Dion Lee draws inspiration from mitosis, the so-hot-right-now process of cell division. Lee's creations peel, layer and divide to form cell-like constructions around the body.

From Bustles to Bridezilla
Because we all need more conjugality in our lives, 40 bridal gowns are currently on display in the NIDA foyer, replete with veils, millinery and bridal accessories.
Arranged chronologically by decade from 1880 to 1980, FROM BUSTLES TO BRIDEZILLA will appeal to anyone interested in the general history of dress, and the evolution of nuptial fashion.

Flare: An exhibition celebrating the life and work of Jennie Tate
When local set and costume designer Jennie Tate died of cancer at the end of last year, she was in her prime. She'd finished a number of production designs, had received funding for a film and several other projects; and was about to finish her thesis on Japanese design and mythology.
A collection of her costume sketches from the 1960s up to her final days is currently up at Sydney Theatre's Warf Gallery.
