A couple of months back we professed our love for the bohemian stylings of Yeasayer. Envision a blend of psych-rock, gospel chorus, and sitars. Dramatic, yet uplifting, this is Black Sabbath on a new-age, spiritualist retreat. Now the 4-man hippie brigade is bringing its hook-laden love our way on October 6.

Do you know what a hippie is?
With their headscarves and hand bells, communal chanting and four-part harmonies, Yeasayer have a lot in common with west coast burnouts like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, or ELO. But they also share similarities with fellow skinny-jeaned loft-lurking Brooklynites TV on The Radio, Grizzly Bear, and Dirty Projectors.
