Like Hemmingway and his daiquiri, collaborative efforts generally involve violent heartache, breathtaking beauty and copious amounts of alcohol. MIDNIGHT MORNING is no different. These art-nouveau-graphic-novel-Hello-Kitty-inspired illustrations are an expression of three Sydney-based illustrators' temperamental journey of love and devastation.

We love the way they pash in old movies. We love the way the square-jawed wise guy manhandles the boozed-up floozy to the point where his sweat-soaked machismo and her lusty femininity collide in a tremendous mashing of lips. And we reckon American artist Glenn Barr loves it as well.
A graduate of the lowbrow art scene in Detroit, Glenn is known for his contributions to the pop surrealist art movement ie shadowy, apocalyptic landscapes populated by doe-eyed dames and martini-quaffing cyber-babes.
