You might have heard of Nathan Gray; most probably not for his music. The man is an artist. He makes incredible prints, sculptures and woven paper works. He's also a dab hand at improvised sound activities - this is where Jimmy Sing's comes in. On Saturday, the smallest record store in Sydney is hosting a line up that smacks it over the big fellas.

Jimmy Sing and his gang (Spruce Lee and Hana Shimada) from the record store have started a late night danceteria, which a quick trip to a rather large search engine reveals isn't related to where you buy your lunch at school. It is however a club in New York that Madonna and LL Cool J went to before they were famous*, so if you go you could be the next big thing for the next three decades.

South Rakkas Crew, have such a direct Jamaican style it's hard to believe they're from Canada. They were among the first to combine dancehall and electro (a sound that now has asses shaking in most Sydney clubs) and since forming in 2002 have worked with and remixed a stellar, hugely diverse range of artists from Bob Marley and Duran Duran to Good Charlotte, Beck and Lily Allen.
