So Laneway is back and it's in a park. Confusing? Perhaps, but only momentarily. Once you fight through the lush greenery and stop looking for skyscrapers you'll notice that it's not really the lanes that make Laneway at all! It's the bands of course (I'm going to put it out there and say that this is the best line up to date) but it's also all the wonderful extras.

<p>Laneway is one of those festivals still largely unspoilt by popping crowds or dust arenas. Its setup means you can see a band, dance silly, eat a burger and then sleep on the grass without fear of copping some bozo's Royals to your chin.<br /><br />On top of <a href="http://www.twothousand.com.au/hear/girl-talk-interview-2/" target="_blank">Girl Talk</a>, Daedelas (read interview <a href="http://www.twothousand.com.au/hear/daedelus-interview-2/" target="_blank">here</a>, he's real nice.</p>

You don't know this, but Daedelus and I go way back. I once gave Alfred a ride home in my car, which had a busted out passenger window. It was pissing down rain so he had to hide under a giant parka the entire 30 minute drive to my house. Then after sleeping on a terrible fake vinyl couch that would stick to every part of your body, I woke him up and took him to the airport at four in the morning and he was, somewhat grateful.
