The dubious legality of street art doesn't lend itself to being an open process. Which means that the drips, sprays and scrawls which so characterise our laneways and walls is often something of a mystery. But this is about to change as the good folk at OAF volunteer their mural wall for a live makeover at the hands of SheOne.

Lee, James, Adrian and Nick descend onto Oxford Street's party basement this week. As Major Major, their dirty indie sound is well suited to the underground OAF. The band tours to launch their GREAT LEAGUES EP, which is filled to the brim with signature melodic and rock tunes. - KB

There's this interview with M.I.A. floating around on the net, where they ask her what she's been doing since 'retirement', and she talks about pouring all her party banger goodness into her protege, Rye Rye. The camera swings to the right, and there Rye Rye is, cute as a button, and she gives a little wave.

Sitting somewhere between Middle-Eastern psych and space-gospel, multi-instumentalists Yeasayer are sending the blogosphere pretty mental. Having toured with the likes of Beck and MGMT, they're making quite a name for themselves. They're in Sydney on October 6 to take us on some kind of futuristic, cosmic voyage with their famously 'trippy' live performance.

The mid 90's saw many great couplings - Brenda and Dylan, the midriff top with high waisted jeans and, outshining all of these... Blackalicious. Meeting in high school the duo later teamed up in LA and started making the sweet beats and informed lyrics we know them for today. On the bill you'll also find local hip hop oufits Spit Syndicate, Horrorshow and Peace Out.

This Sunday marks the end of all ANODE related goodness. The silver lining on this dark cloud is that the urban art showcase will have one hell of a send off, part of which is a live magic show by a duo known as Dangerboy & Ivy. The Finale Party also teams Jazz dancers with Japanese Tattooists; circus freaks with video geeks; plus bands Naked on the Vague and Cleptoclectic.

So Temper Trap are from Melbourne - but they love Sydney. It's true. They're part of a growing breed that gloss over our Rugby players and prossies with beaches and babes. How can we not love them in return? Especially when Dougie is busting his lungs and Lorenzo's on the keys. We've waxed lyric about these ratbags before, so we won't bend too many ears now.
