Naive opinion brands Dosh as white-boyexperimental hip hop just because he sits on the Anticon roster. Sure,there are percussive leanings towards the genre on WOLVES AND WISHES (evident through air-tight breaks) but beyond thisthere's instrumental mastery and a nerd-like splicing together of encyclopaedicmusic knowledge and composition.

Stereo Total is not another pop band. It's a "home-made-trash-garage-sound crossed with underground, authentic as well as amateurish, ironic as well as effective, pop as well as...political." Wow. They also sing in different languages. The Berlin-based male/female German/French duo have returned to blur the boundaries of electro, rockabilly and pop and generally confuse the hell out of us with a multilingual extravaganza likely to make your feet move and your brain hurt.

*Phew* - that's a collective sigh of relief from all New Young Pony Club fans that it will be Oxford Art Factory playing host to the Sydney return of the UK pop rockers. The previous location? A seedy club in Darling Harbour where trance, Top 40 and house music rule. A match made in heaven? Two Thousand thinks not.
