We think it's more fitting that Nordic fashion house, Somedays, would celebrate their third birthday in such a style. Did we mention that it's followed by a Golden Parade down to the Cricketer's at 8pm to continue the festivities? At this party clothing, particularly of the fashionable Swedish variety, is a must.

Artistic collaborations are a pretty sweet thing. Matthew Barney and Björk, Andy Warhol and Lou Reed... Starbucks and Sonic Youth.
'Anglomania' is the love child of one such collaboration, between the queen of punk, Ms Vivienne Westwood, and the cult of Brazilian footwear, Melissa- also the brains behind the original jelly sandal invented in '79.

Retouched beauty seems to be as certain as the presence of a busty blonde in a Ralph magazine these days, and "Dollface", a series of photographic work by Hannah Scott-Stevenson is an exploration of this plastic and idealistic beauty. Retouched images of girly girls, inspiration drawn from fairy tales, and influence from photographers such as Cindy Sherman, Erwin Olaf, Deborah Paauwe create a whimsical yet eerie atmosphere.

Cause We Can
Sydney artist Loveariel presents CAUSE WE CAN, a group exhibition at that Swedish fashion haven, Somedays.
With an array of usual suspects mixed with some new additions to the identity parade, the show will feature local graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, painters, graffers, writers and installation artists.

Up the grass-lined stairs of Somedays, past the croaking frog, the Dr Denim, the POUR Femme and the Gram you shall find three individual artists - Kalen, Bennett and Hewps - in a show of mixed media prints. You shall also find Beez Neez beer if you make the opening tonight. Bzz. -RF

‘DR.' is one of those marketing prefixes that implies a sense of expertise, which unfortunately is not always reflected in its associated products.
One needs only to look at the ill-fated Dr. Mario, "wrinkle free" followers of Dr. Lewinn's or the one-time soda cult of Dr. Pepper for examples.
