Minimal branding has never been so hip. Back then, we had the monogrammed Louis Vuitton, the Balenciaga "it" bags, and those flashy sunglasses with branding so hefty, you couldn't miss where they were from...or supposedly from. It's a truth universally acknowledged that places with photos of the food out front should be treated with caution. But hoist a loaded rack of Adriano Zumbo pastries in the window and you're inviting flirtation and window shopping.
So why stay a while at 485, with so many other distractions in this saturated strip? They got a shy Ladyhawke to go topless, captured Blue Juice in their knickers, took a photo of Sarah Blasko that was described by her manager as her best ever, squeezed 100 musicians into one photo, and somehow managed to make Muscles look attractive.
Between them, this couple have probably snapped every musician to arrive on our shores, and if you've ever picked up a copy of Drum, Brag, 3D World, JMag or Time Out, you have in all likelihood seen what a bang up job they do of it.
