Birthday parties are usually a bit of fun, aren't they? Especially when you're at the age when the biggest thing you have to worry about is whether to colour in the elephant on the page purple or green. Vice Australia is turning five, though to we have a feeling there won't be any frosted cupcakes at their party.

With a name like Lover, it is not enough merely to be loved - as this Australian label surely is - you must, like the great seducers of history, love stuff too. Thus, Lover the label is launching a new series of events called ‘Lover Loves...' to salute artists they find inspiring and well, lovable.
It's probably true to say there aren't many books that could be spun out from a VICE column. True, some of the don'ts are quite evocative (ref: ‘It's like it's 1929 and she's the Prime Minister of hand jobs' and ‘But Humpty, what if nobody turns up to our party'). But these are few and rich in their brevity.
According to Ernie Dingo and the Northern Territory tourism board, ‘You’ll never never know, if you never never go”. It’s catchy. We’ll probably go there because of it and come home content. However, there are some places on this planet less alluring than a tropical park, places we are happy to never never go to, but would still like to know more about.
