Thanh Binh
A friend told us a friend of hers saw Michael Caine in the Thanh Binh. I already knew it was cool because I'd eaten frogs legs there, but that made me wanna move in. Now Sonny and I live above it (well above a shop a few doors down) and often take Sunday lunch there. They have this amazing noodle menu where everything is about $10 and comes in novelty sized bowls.
Pho Bac Hai Duong

Things to look for if you want decent ‘pho': Hoi sin and chilli sauce, in a squeeze bottle, already on the table. Chopsticks in a bundled container, also on the table. Last and probably the most important thing: a box of tissues.
These aren't the most fancy things in the world, but that's not what you are going for.
Libertine
In our "vacuous and shallow" city, a restaurant is judged on its location, celebrity clientele and architecturally designed toilets more than its food.
So before we get stuck into describing Libertine's lush interior, with its chandeliers, gold leaf walls and plush red cushions, its pretty garden terrace and its flatteringly dim light, let us tell you about the food.
