What's more fun than a street festival? Definitely not a street cleaner. Street festivals invented the lemonade stand, the stroll, and the afternoon well spent. Combine with its distant cousin, the market, and you have this Sunday's Danks Street Festival. The Hawkesbury Harvest takes over nearby Young Street with jams, olives and other gourmet markety things, while Danks goes arty with stalls by local artists and galleries.

A whole 12x12 box of fresh produce has arrived just in time to pep us up for the weekend. WATIM is presenting Jeremyville, who is straight off the plane and in his new collaborative cons, Sam Smith who has been doing some great stuff with VonZipper, and ten other artists who are all doing some amazing things in the scene at the moment.

Grrrls! Grrrls! Grrrls! [weAREtheIMAGEmakers] presents an all-girl show of underground Australian talent. WATIM are giving a big lift to young artists coming up through street, pop surreal and illustration influences with their online art-mag. In 2007 WATIM hosted the very popular 12 x 12 show that made a huge splash with talent like Ben Frost, EAMO and Creepy.

On top of being frequently dishevelled and outspoken, artists could be the definitive collective noun.

Picture this scene: Fresh fruit... picked daily we're sure. It's some of the healthiest produce you'll ever see. It sits comfortably on rustic wood boxes opposite a cheese fridge that's bursting at the seams with the most amazing cheese-wheels known to man. Shelves are stacked with homemade preserves, fresh pasta abounds and dewy faced staff are scurrying about offering advice and spraying veggies to keep them fresh.
