Sydney's south-west fringe (Newtown, Enmore, Marrickville, Chippendale, Sydenham) is home to a thriving arts community, and carriageARTworks is designed to let the world know about it.

A myriad of galleries and artist-run initiatives from the area will come together under one roof, to showcase over 40 artists across all mediums. These include: Factory 49, Hardware Gallery, Lennox Street Studios, Aboriginal Women's Art Collective, At The Vanishing Point, Enmore Jewellery Object & Design, Marnling Press, NG Art Gallery, Oh Really, Sheffer Gallery, SNO Contemporary Art Projects and Wilson Street Gallery.

Exposing and celebrating the diversity of creative practices alive in this hood, the free exhibition opens in the cavernous foyer of CarriageWorks come Thursday.
