Unlock your dreams, your potential, your sausage sizzle love and your wallets at Locksmith this Saturday evening.
With a policy of providing an exhibition space rent-free and not taking a commission on artwork that is sold, these guys open the front room of their home to showcase the work of some of our most favouritest Australian artists.
Currently entirely self-funded, they survive from money raised at their annual bumper fundraiser art auctions. With works from Mike Parr, James Angus, Mikala Dwyer, Emma White, Rachel Scott, Nell, Matthew Hopkins, Daniel Boyd, Adam Costenoble, Marita Fraser and many more going under the hammer, there will also be a BBQ and live performances from Yasmin Smith, Holy Balm, Letter X and Houlette.
Come wish Locksmith a happy first birthday, and keep an eye on the space in 09 they have another stellar program lined up and various side projects planned, including a new publication to be launched in March.

TwoThousand is a subcultural guide to Sydney, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Sydney writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence TwoThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
