The Stars Eat Your Body, Del Kathryn Barton
It's been two years since Del Kathryn Barton won the Archibald Prize for her self portrait, You are what is most beautiful about me, a self portrait with Kell and Arella. Since then Barton has largely remained out of the gallery, focusing instead on her upcoming exhibition.
Beginning this Friday at Kaliman Gallery is The Stars Eat Your Body, which includes the artist's most ambitious project to date - a four panel dreamscape that covers the entire width of the gallery space.

Few spaces capture the awkward loneliness of life like the Darren Knight Gallery. Whether displaying works by Noel McKenna, Rob McHaffie or Michael Harrison, the sparse, fragile aesthetic perfectly conveys the ups, downs and utter emptiness of city living. Surprisingly though, the gallery's next show by artist Robert Rooney offers something completely different.

Fassbinder Exhibition and Film Series

In a career that lasted less than 15 years, the radical perfectionist created 35 feature-length films, three short films, two television series, 24 stage plays and four radio plays; and did 36 acting roles in his own and other's films.
John Aslanidis

Melbourne-based artist John Aslanidis would answer Dave in the affirmative.
Preferring to call himself a sound artist rather than a painter, Aslanidis' work explores geometric abstraction and synaesthesia.
Great Undead
Can you hear it? It’s the call of the wild. It’s the smell of sweat oozing out of your pores and dripping liquid gold into the sand under your feet. It’s the taste of the pagan’s blood filling your mouth and trickling silently down your chin. It’s the lazuline hue of the dark, velvety sky behind the furious blaze of a myriad stars.
