Description:
Proving everything old is new again, the good old Annandale rolls out Grant Hart - former drummer, singer and co-songwriter from umlaut-loving 80s outfit Hüsker Dü. For his latest solo release, Hot Wax, Hart hooked up with noisemakers Godspeed You Black Emperor and Silver Mt. Zion to create songs that the man himself can only describe in the most poetic (read: fruitiest) of ways. If "Greek mythology and American rock-a-billy merged with an ice-cream truck atmosphere" floats your boat, then it'd behoove you to scoot on down to see it for yourself. - AM

TwoThousand is a subcultural guide to Sydney, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Sydney writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence TwoThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
