The name may conjure up images of icy fashion mavens and ambitious wallflowers, but here in the real world, Runway means a lot more. For us it refers to an independent publication that nurtures and supports experimental, conceptual and community-based Australian arts practice. Futures is the 14th issue for Runway, and will be celebrated with a launch party down at Studio 10. With entertainment, art and "warming winter treats" (not to mention a take-home copy of Runway), it promises to be a worthy venture. - JP
