China Heights has moved, that's right. No more climbing a gazillion floors for art props. No more Foster Street, it's now about the Crown.
The name China Heights came about when the gallery owners Mark and Ed realised that their gallery overlooked China Town - and was really high up. Geddit? Even though the new China Heights gallery is on Crown Street, the name still rings true. The space is high and the China reference applies. "How?" You ask?
See, with the Crown Street location comes even more people. The space is slightly smaller, and when you combine lots of people with a small space...well, you get where we're going with the China reference.
Coming up at the new location are a bunch of new things. There's the No Tomorrow jewellery sale, a Trent Edward and Phil Harkness show and some new stuff from VICE.
Some might question the move. But, trust us, it's a smart one. The old gallery had to deal with condensed trading hours, not to mention five flights of stairs. Now however, stairs are down to two and you can pop in during the week and spend some time...and money.
