Not so long ago some Nancy in chinos and a bum bag wrote a travel story titled, “The New Euro”. It outlined the “hip” new things to do and see in Europe, urging readers to shy away from the traditional in favor of something a little more modern. “Why not try one of the new luxury cruises?” he suggested, “Activities, live music…even an amateur theatre group to join”.

If you choose not to travel the world in jandles and would rather lick sh*t than do a Contiki tour, then you’ve probably noticed that no travel publications seem to be speaking your language. Until PAPERPLANE.

Issue one takes a look at Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Hokkaido in Japan and local love, Byron Bay. Along with insightful features you’ll find travel photographs from 10 of our best local photographers including Derek Henderson, Richard Bailey, and Anson Smart. (Find an exhibition of these works at Arial Booksellers until Christmas).
