I thought long and hard about a shop in Sydney that best captures what TwoThousand is about. It kept me up at night. Days later, I'd still failed to come up with just one. There's Capital L and Incu, The Corner Shop, Via Alley and Mao & More to name a few. And while they're all been TwoThousand favourites, none are outdoors, and everyone likes the outdoors. Which is why I've chosen Bondi Markets.

Where else in Sydney can you people-watch, trend-spot, browse vintage collections and start-up fashion labels, buy second hand books, cute necklaces, and barter for a $12 vintage radio, then nip across the road for a cheap schooner and a chicken schnitzel at the RSL, with one of the best beach views in the country?

Bondi's market might not be as bohemian as Glebe's, trendy as Surry Hills', or as old-school as Rozelle's, but it is right next to the beach, and since that's what we, as Sydneysiders, love so much about our city, we might as well embrace it.
