Maybe it's a cultural thing, but the Swedish always manage to make decent products on the cheap. Compare Telstra to Ericsson or Oz Design to Ikea and it's obvious who comes up trumps.
Their national fashion pedigree isn't lacking either, with the likes of Ann-Sofie Back, ACNE Jeans and Cheap Monday, which, at $90 a pair, have us waving our Tsubi's out the Holden window in denim surrender.
CM Store in Bondi is both the national distributor for Cheap Monday in Australia and the only place to get the full range of Corvette red, baby-doll blue and beatnik black threads in sky-scraping highs and butt bearing lows
The label might be cheap, but its craft isn't. Designer Orjan Andersson cut his teeth as a ‘denim missionary' for Lee and knows how to kick it. He also coined ‘Weekend' the first Cheap Monday store in Sweden which, you guessed it, limited its retail time to Saturday and Sunday. Respect.
