The art of photography lost some of its romance when the age of digital dawned. Now it's all fun, point, shoot and delete if you're the one who looks the ugliest. Not that that's necessarily all bad (how else would NowNow Pics exist), but there's something to be said for waiting the two-three days for the chemist to cough up your prints.
Enter Lomography, hardly new but definitely building in Australia as a cool-kid photography pastime. Lomo has all the fun, point and shoot
ease of digital, but the special camera lenses create amazingly rich colour photos. Lomo cameras were bodged Russian spy cameras (they should stick to making Stoli vodka and babushka dolls), but you can learn all the ins and outs from the Lomographers at the new JUST SHOOT Lomography Shop in Paddington.
The Lomography Shop re-opens today in Paddington's Blender Gallery.
