Over the last six months Oxford Street has entered what meteorologists would describe as a dry spell. With the new Westfield landing smack bang in the middle of downtown Bondi Junction, the former shopping mecca has now deflated into more of a shopping lemonade stall.
Elizabeth Homfray along with business partners Matt Koziora and Sheba Mac saw this as an opportunity to revive Paris-inspired bohemian boutique style shopping and came up with concept store Klimt & Me. Having opened in November 2005, the store's aim was to give upcoming
designers the opportunity to enter the market with maximum exposure at a time when Oxford Street had been forced to re-evaluate it's market.
Featured designers include Tina Kalivas, Ruby Smallbone, Joveeba, Organizana, and State of
Georgia for the ladies, as well as Funkulo, Leopold,
and Jose Fernandez for the gents. Prices range from $80 simple mens tees to a more Parisian $2000 for more coveted items.
Both will be well within reach to TwoThousand readers who scroll down...
